All candidates for full-time and part-time positions will progress through a multi-step selection process. The specific steps may vary by position, but generally include:

Application Review — Initial screening of qualifications and experience
Wonderlic Testing — An assessment to evaluate candidates' overall readiness for the job of interest
Personal History Questionnaire — Candidates will complete a self-reported screening form to evaluate character, integrity, and suitability for the position
Oral Board Interview — Panel interview assessing qualifications, communication, and judgment
Background Investigation — Comprehensive review of personal, professional, and criminal history
Polygraph Examination — Verification of background information (all positions)
Medical & Psychological Evaluation — Health and fitness-for-duty screening
Academy Training — Completion of required training program (sworn positions)

Expected Duration: The selection process typically takes 2 to 3 months from application submission to final hiring decision. Candidates will be assigned to work with a recruiter and informed of their status throughout the process.
